Elizabeth Titis
Former Erasmus Research Student
Biography
Elizabeth worked as Erasmus Research Student at MeRC (2010/11) on an individual project towards her dissertation in Economics in the context of acquiring an M.A. (Master in Economics, 2011) in Management with the specialization 'Business and International Trade' from the School of Banking and Management (Krakow). In March 2009 she graduated at the same department with a BSc in 'Sociology & Culture, Media and Social Communication'.
Alongside her scientific activity, she is a professional musician (violinist) who has performed on an international level in Poland, Germany, Greece, and Japan.
Awards and honourable mentions
Elizabeth is a two time holder of the 'Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education' in Poland for prominent scientific achievements which she gained in 2007 and 2008, as well as the 'Sapere Auso Scholarship' gained in the same years. In 2010, following the designation of her thesis by the Deans of Faculties Committee she won the national competition for the best thesis in the field of business and received a prominent award sponsored by A. Gudzowaty, an international Polish businessman supporting young researchers.
